Stem nuts and stem threads should be regularly lubricated with lubricating oil, so that not only can reduce friction between them, but also can extend their service life. This is also a very important conservation measure. If the worn valve stem nut is still in use, it may break, so that all axial force of the valve stem cannot be supported, and the valve will lose its function.
Gasket at the beginning of the simple leakage, finally reach the steam leakage hazard. A small amount of packing leakage can be solved by simply tightening the packing gland nut. However, when the packing is damaged, the packing must be replaced. When replacing the packing, the valve must be fully opened to make the upper seal work (it is generally possible under pressure). During replacement, install proper packing in the packing box, tighten the packing gland nut, and then check regularly to prevent the gland nut from loosening.
When replacing disc parts, it is convenient to lift the stem, disassemble the valve cover, and then install the new disc on the new clamping frame, turn the stem, until the disc is removed from the clamping frame, replaced by a new disc and clamping frame, and loaded into the valve, the operation of replacing the disc is convenient
In order to grind the valve disc (a grindable and replaceable valve), use a small amount of abrasive on the valve disc, and then grind it. The grinding method is to place a shaft pin on the valve disc nut slot and the hole of the valve rod support head, place the component in the valve body, unscrew the connecting sleeve, and then grind it alternately in positive and reverse directions. Use the valve rod as a grinding tool, and grind it after putting abrasive. The grinding should not be excessive. When finishing grinding, clean the abrasive and lubricate the thread
